April Art Walk "Poetry Quilt"

In honor of National Poetry Month" the Jacksonville Public Library is proud to present the “Poetry Quilt” featuring a complete collection of entries from the 5th Annual Teen Poetry Contest. The quilt was created using handmade paper that is connected and hung in a style similar to a quilt. The construction complements the artistry and craftsmanship associated with writing poetry.

Note: The contest winners will be presented at the Spring Poetry Jam 2008 open mic event which will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Hicks Auditorium of the Main Library Conference Center.
