"How Do I...?"

Local Music Collection

At the Jacksonville Public Library, we believe that local musicians, record labels and music venues contribute culturally and economically to our city. To support the local scene, the Jacksonville Public Library is proud to collect and circulate locally produced music. By including these unique items in the collection, we hope to increase access to local music and provide city-wide exposure through the library’s website and catalog.

Currently, the collection is comprised of donations made to the library by musicians, fans and record labels. If you have music you would like to donate, please email us at musicadvisory@coj.net.

To be considered for inclusion:
  • Albums must have been produced by musicians or labels based in
    • Duval
    • Nassau
    • Baker
    • Clay
    • or St. Johns counties at the time of release.

  • Donations should be in new or slightly used condition.

  • Items should include attractive cover art, song listing, and publication date.

  • CDs do not require a jewel case.

Donations will be reviewed according to Jacksonville Public Library's selection guidelines. Once cataloged and added to the collection, albums will circulate throughout the city and be available for checkout by any card holder.
All donations become property of the Jacksonville Public Library and cannot be returned.
