Ride to Read Program @ Jacksonville Public Library

The Jacksonville Public Library has partnered with the Jacksonville Transit Authority to provide free transportation for youth visiting area libraries. Youth between the ages of 8 – 18 can request a free bus pass at any of the following locations:

Ride to Read Program @ Jacksonville Public Library

Beaches Branch Library Brentwood Branch Library
Brown Eastside Branch Library Graham Branch
Highlands Branch Library Bradham Brooks Branch Library
Regency Square Branch Library San Marco Branch Library
University Park Branch Library Webb Wesconnett Regional Library
Westbrook Branch Library  

In order to participate in the Ride to Read Program, youth must present their library card at the time of request and adhere to the library Code of Conduct. Parents and siblings cannot pick up Ride to Read tickets on another’s behalf. Quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

This community partnership provides young people the opportunity to improve their reading skills and expand their imagination at the library, while learning how to travel on a JTA bus. Children experience transportation independence, realizing the hundreds of places in Jacksonville that buses can take you.
