The Don Toledo House, 36 Aviles St., San Augustine, Florida.
Tradition claims this house to have been built by a gentleman of Toledo, Spain, for his Indian bride. Perhaps it was a mansion in its day and a veritable regal domicile to the lady from the wilderness.

Through loss of records it is not known whether this house or the "Old House" on St. Frances St. is really the most ancient, but common opinion grants this claim to the latter; however, both are old enough to be very interesting from the standpoint of antiquity.
